The picturesque town of Melrose, sitting in the shadows of the triple peaks of the Eildon Hills, has plenty to offer visitors at any time of year. And with the opening of the Borders Railway in September 2015, it is now even easier to spend a few nights (or longer) in this vibrant and historic town.

Our guests can hop on the train at Waverley Station in Edinburgh and enjoy a relaxing journey through wonderfully scenic countryside and in just 55 minutes, arrive at Tweedbank Station. There you will be met by one of our travel partners (small fee applies) and delivered to the front door of The Townhouse Hotel for a wonderful few days break, or simply a day out with lunch or dinner.
